Primary and Community Care Compendium Plan on a Page Phase 2

Phase 2 of the Compendium will focus on adding more case studies to the resource as well as enhancing the site functionality to futureproofing it by providing the means by which additional case studies can be added so the site become self-fulfilling.

PCC Compendium website – Phase 1 (soft launch)

This website was soft launched to key stakeholders and is the culmination of the refresh of a concept developed in 2018 by WEDS (Workforce Education and Development Services, now part of HEIW). The key intention being to demonstrate the contribution and value of non-traditional workforce roles, facilitating integrated team development and more informed workforce planning decisions.

General Practice Manager Leadership Network via the Gwella Portal

The launch of the General Practice Manager Leadership Network via the Gwella portal was announced by Alex Slade during his welcoming address to the National Practice Manager Conference on the 24th November 2022. 

This network is intended to build on the Confident Practice Manager Leadership Programme and provide a focal point of communication and collaboration for practice managers across Wales to share good practice and peer support.

Gwella Leadership Portals for Professional Collaboratives & Clusters. 

HEIW, working with the Strategic Programme for Primary Care, developed a suite of resources to support new and existing leaders within primary care in their leadership journey. By becoming a member of a network, Professional Collaborative and Cluster leaders can access core leadership resources and reference material as well as signposting to further leadership development.
