Public Health Wales has partnered with the Strategic Programme for Primary Care, Welsh Value In Health Centre and the NHS Executive to develop the Prevention-Based Health and Care (PBHC) Framework: A vehicle to embed prevention in the health and care system.
This virtual event will be held on Monday the 20th May 2024 from 13.30-15.00.
The PBHC Framework identifies the key components needed to shift the health and care system towards a prevention-based approach in line with the strategic aspirations in Wales.
This event will include:
• An opening address by Sir Frank Atherton, Chief Medical Officer
• An introduction to the PBHC Framework
• Dr Sally Lewis, Director of the Welsh Value in Health Centre, reflecting on her experiences of establishing the Value in Health movement
• Examples of PBHC already in action in Wales
• Reflections from a panel of health and care leaders in Wales on the PBHC Framework and how they see it working in practice
• Next steps for PBHC
