Kathryn is currently head of Dental Workforce Development at Health Education Improvement Wales (HEIW).
For 5 years until November 2014 Kathryn was a member of the GDC Fitness to Practice Panel. She is also the only DCP appointed to the GDC ECPD Advisory Board. In 2017 Kathryn was appointed External Examiner for the Advanced Certificate Facilitated Learning in Healthcare Practice and Advanced Certificate in Mentoring and Coaching at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN)
Kathryn obtained an MSc in Advanced and Specialist Healthcare at the University of Kent with Merit. A distinction was awarded for her research in to the role of the expanded duty dental nurse. She gained a Diploma in Leadership and Management in 2021 and was awarded an Hon Fellowship by the College of Dentistry in 2022.
