The resources on this page include the current best available data on the most vulnerable groups in our communities. Much of the available data has limitations, for example, there is no completely accurate way to know how many people are experiencing homelessness and the numbers of asylum seekers and refugees can change considerably very quickly. However, the information available can still be used to help planning. The data provided here is a starting point. We suggest this can be triangulated with local knowledge and data, including collaborating with people on the front line of services and people with lived experience. We are constantly exploring how we can improve this data. Please do get in touch with suggestions for improvements.
Similarly, estimating the health needs of the population groups is difficult as there is no routine collection of this data in Wales and published evidence is limited. We have collated the best evidence available from Wales or further a field to provide summaries of key evidence and infographics on health needs to help inform the type of services and skills sets that are likely to be needed.
The inclusion health data has been presented at either health board, local authority or cluster geographical areas depending on the strength and availability of the data.
The Data and Intelligence Pages will support you in taking a population health approach to planning and delivery of services.
