How was it developed?
A rapid review of current Health Equity and Equality Assessment Tools was undertaken1-8. This toolkit was created to assist those working in or with the primary care system to consider and take action to reduce health inequalities through service planning.
The toolkit is like other equity assessment tools but has been developed to support primary care specifically. This equity toolkit offers both short and longer options and aims to support the varying stages of service development, review, and commissioning as well as a specific tool to support inclusion health service development.
